Individual Therapy

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're not quite sure what to expect.

Our sessions are an opportunity to talk openly about what's going on for you. You don't need to have the right words or know where to begin. We can start with whatever feels most important to you.

I won't tell you how you should feel or what you should do. Instead, I'll listen, ask questions, and help you explore the things that might feel difficult, confusing or overwhelming.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need. Sometimes that might mean looking at experiences from the past and how they continue to affect you. At other times, we might focus on what is happening in your life right now, finding ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, or developing a kinder understanding of yourself.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. We'll work together to find what feels useful for you.

You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes, having someone alongside you while you work things out can make all the difference.

I work exclusively with adults and practise in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, with regular clinical supervision.

Ways to access counselling

Online counselling

I offer online counselling via Google Meet. A secure meeting link will be emailed to you before your session, so you can join simply by clicking the link. There is no need to create an account or sign up to Google Meet in order to attend.

Telephone counselling

Telephone sessions are also available, offering a flexible and accessible way to receive support. Life can be busy, and sometimes the only quiet time we have to ourselves is in the car after dropping the children off at clubs, or during a lunch break. Telephone counselling can provide a simple way to make space for yourself and begin your therapeutic journey, wherever you are.

Walk/Wheel & Talk

I also offer Walk/ Wheel & Talk sessions in and around Abergavenny. For some people, being outdoors and moving alongside their counsellor feels more natural than sitting face-to-face, and can make it easier to talk and reflect.

If this is something you feel would suit you, we can explore whether Walk/ Wheel & Talk is right for you during your free 20-minute consultation.
